This exercise focuses on your glutes, hamstrings, and erector spinae (this is the muscle located along the back of the spine).
– Helps alleviate back pain
– Improves your posture
– Strengthens your core
– Improves athletic performance
– Helps open the shoulders and chest which lead to many benefits like: space created for lungs allowing you to breathe better and chest is stretched out which connects you closer to your sense of well-being.
How long should I hold the bridge?
The goal is to hold the position, with good form, for about 20 to 30 seconds. You may not be able to hold it that long YET. Do it for shorter periods of time until you can work your way up to a longer time.
Make sure you use #WoWBridges and share with us and other truck drivers your progress doing the bridge! Join our Facebook group: “Healthy Trucking” to share with other truckers how you stay healthy.
