Diesel prices continued their recent decline in the week ending July 25, according to the Department of Energy’s weekly report, falling another 2.3 cents. That’s the fifth drop in the U.S. average per-gallon diesel price in the last six weeks. The average price for a gallon of on-highway diesel is now $2.379.
The nation’s most expensive diesel can be found in California at $2.764 per gallon, followed by the West Coast less California region at $2.536 per gallon.
The cheapest fuel can be found in the Gulf Coast region at $2.242 per gallon, followed by the Lower Atlantic region at $2.306 per gallon.
