Muscles worked:

This exercise focuses on your upper and lower back but also works you glutes and hamstring muscles.

Superman Benefits:

– Helps alleviate back pain by strengthening lower and upper back muscles

How long should I hold the superman position?

If you are a beginner, you probably can’t hold it very long at all.  That’s normal.  Try doing multiple sets of 3-5 second holds.  If your back muscles have a little more experience, try holding the superman position between 15-30 seconds.
